LONGABERGER© MAINTAINS TRADITION IN TODAYS TECHNOLOGY
November 20th, 2007 by admin
The family-owned Longaberger Co., which makes handmade products and uses direct selling to reach customers, finally is allowing online purchase of products with credit cards without using an independent consultant via traditional home sales. After suffering stagnate sales from a strategy that incorporates the use of in-home sales consultants, Longaberger is joining the on-line sales market that has seen massive growth lately.
Longaberger baskets, that for years have been sold in homes across America, also continue to circulate through the market long after their first purchase. Second Market sales of these baskets are taking place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via on-line auctions. The source of this inventory includes but is not limited to: estate sales, dissolution sales, and often the case, just you and me un-cluttering our lives. (Well, not you and me! We would not be disposing of our Longabergers. Heaven forbid!)
So what does this mean to the Longaberger lover? It means that there is a constant source of genuine Longaberger baskets available, literally at our fingertips. With a few clicks of the mouse, we techies, everyday folks like you and I can continue to add to our collections with these on-line auctions. Let’s face it, people who own Longaberger Baskets understand their value and usually take extremely good care of them. Because of that, it is usually a given that if a basket is available on an auction, it is most likely in great shape.
